Q. I want to go on holiday, but I have no idea where
I should go. Can the Members Services Department help
me?
Yes. Our Members Services Officers will happily assist
you in making your destination choice. They can provide
you with expert advice on where to go and tailor your
holiday to your needs.
Q. I would like to contact Interval International myself.
Am I allowed to do that?
Yes. As a member of Interval International, you are
entitled to contact them directly. Please remember to
have your membership number ready before you make the
phone call. The staff at Interval International are
multi lingual and able to give you an instant response
to your queries.
Q. What is a Five-Star Resort?
A Five-Star Resort is the most desirable rating appointed
to a resort in the Interval International system. Absolute
Private Residence has been awarded with a five star
rating from Interval International.
Q. How can I be sure the standard of the resort will
be maintained?
The maintenance fee is an annual charge, based on the
size of the apartment that you have purchased, that
goes towards the upkeep of accommodation and general
facilities of the resort. On average, you can expect
this fee to increase by about 3-5% annually.
Q. I would like to transfer my vacation right ownership
to my friend. What should I do?
You should fill out the transfer form, which is at the
back of your vacation right ownership certificate. Both
you and your friend will need to sign this form. You
can then pass this to your Customer Relations Officer,
who will process this for you. Any transfer fees should
be borne by the party wishing to make the transfer.
Alternatively, you can book an appointment with your
Customer Relations Officer and they will assist you
with filling out the form and ensure the completion
of the transfer.
Q. Can I give my week to my friends and family to use?
Yes! Absolutely! If you do not travel together with
them, you will need to purchase a Guest certificate.
One guest certificate is needed per unit.
Q. What does the trustee do?
Please refer to the Trustee page in this booklet. A
clear explanation of what your trustee does is listed.
Q. What is a Floating Week?
A floating week is a week that may be used anytime during
the year based upon a resort's availability. It means
that your week isn't fixed.
Q. What Does it Mean to Space bank a Week?
Space banking means to "deposit" your vacation
right (i.e., your week) with Interval International
to be saved for use at a later time. You may space bank
a week for later use at your home resort or any other
resort affiliated with the exchange company.
Q. Can you guarantee that I can book my holiday during
peak periods?
Due to the growing popularity of vacation ownership,
it is recommended that you book as far in advance as
possible, and at least a year in advance if you plan
to visit a popular resort or destination area during
peak season. Out of season, there is less pressure,
but even so, you should make your reservation at least
six months in advance. Generally the more notice you
give, the better chance of successfully booking your
first choice.
Q. I want to holiday with more people than the size
of my apartment can accommodate, what can I do?
You can call up our Members Services Hotline to request
a rental week. Rental weeks are subject to the chosen
resorts availability, so it is recommended that you
book as far in advance as possible. You can also advance
your week forward and combine the two weeks to be used
at the same time.
Q. Can I purchase air tickets from you?
Yes. Our Members Services Officers will source air tickets
to match your needs. Naturally, you are not obliged
to purchase air tickets from us and can hunt around
for air tickets from any Travel Agencies.
Q. I need help with my entry visa, can you help me
with this?
Yes. Our Members Services Officers can assist you with
applications for visas. Naturally, it is up to the relevant
embassies whether they issue visas or not. All related
fees are borne by the applicant.
Q. What happens if I change my mind and I wish to cancel
my purchase?
Please refer to your Purchase Agreement and Declaration.
As stated clearly, the agreement is non cancelable and
non refundable. At the time of purchase, you made a
conscious decision to be a vacation right owner. You
are legally bound to this agreement and should fulfill
your contractual obligations. However, once you have
fully paid for your vacation right ownership, you are
entitled to sell it, transfer it or bequeath it. Absolute
Private Residence Club does not operate any resale programs,
but your designated Customer Relations Officer will
gladly assist you with this procedure.
